WSQ Course Introduction

Singapore Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) is a national certification system that can train, develop, evaluate and certify the skills and abilities of the workforce. WSQ course is very good solution for learning in Singapore. As a continuing education and training (CET) system, WSQ supports the SkillsFuture movement to:

Promote the recognition of skills and abilities to promote progress, mastery and mobility;
Promote the overall development of the workforce through technology and general skills and abilities;
Support economic development through the professionalization of skills and abilities to promote industry transformation, productivity and innovation efforts; and encourage lifelong learning.

The training plan developed under the WSQ system is based on the skills and abilities confirmed by employers, unions and professional organizations. This process ensures that existing and emerging skills and competencies required for the use of WSQ are used to guide training and development. With the launch of the Skills Framework* in 2016, WSQ adopted the skills and competencies covered in the Skills Framework. The WSQ program is funded by SkillsFuture Singapore and guarantees its quality. The agency awarded WSQ certification.

Since the worldwide outbreak of the epidemic in March this year, the number of students from the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and other countries transferring to Singapore has increased significantly. I once answered a related question and mentioned: “Is it because Singaporean students are suddenly hot?

For the study abroad in Singapore itself, some unique characteristics and advantages have always been there, such as being close to China, no time difference, low cost of studying abroad, social stability and safety, unique bilingual environment, world mainstream education standards, etc. It exists objectively. But there are good reasons not to choose Singapore to study abroad. For example, the area is too small, Asian countries, Chinese ethnicity accounted for more than 70%, Singaporean English accent, etc. These are also objective. In the world, the United States, Canada, Britain and Australia are the first countries for studying in English. There are also Ireland, New Zealand, and Asia is Singapore. In other words, studying abroad in Singapore has not been noticed and understood, but the light is not so dazzling. Under the severe form of the global epidemic, Singapore’s advantage of being close to China and having a strong Chinese government will naturally emerge.

However, looking at the world, the four mainstream study abroad countries, Britain, the United States, Australia and Canada, and other niche study abroad countries, each have their own characteristics and strengths. It is the blossoming of the academic fields of each country that promotes the vigorous development of global education. All of us Benefit from this. For any country studying abroad, there should be a relatively objective and fair view, especially for practitioners in the study abroad industry. There will always be some sounds interfering with the audiovisual, insisting on treating the country of study as a commodity. What I have always been very disgusted with is that in order to promote studying abroad in a certain country, I want to belittle other countries. Studying abroad suitable for students and their families is the best choice.

For most international students and families, the cost of studying abroad is certainly important, but it is not the only factor that affects the final choice. Some students’ parents or relatives and friends will naturally go to this country. In addition, the different preferences, ideas, concepts, and cultures of different students and families are also key factors in choosing which country to study in. Therefore, as to whether you choose to study in Singapore, you should treat it with your heart. If you come to Singapore, please don’t feel that you are downgrading. As an overseas study agency, please don’t take this opportunity to over-promote studying in Singapore.
